Visit 1: The Derwent Valley Mills

A group of Nottingham volunteers of African Caribbean heritage visited the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site as part of the Global Cotton Connections.  Cotton picked by enslaved people in the Americas was transported to England and used by the Derwent Valley Mills.  The Global Cotton Connections project is brought to you by Nottingham University in partnership with Bright Ideas Nottingham.
